12/12 - THAILAND PUBLIC PROCUREMENT BRIEFING FOR INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES
The British Embassy Bangkok and the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) are pleased to announce a co-host briefing event on the changes to Thailand’s public procurement processes and their implications for international bidders at the Athenee Hotel on the 12th of December 2018, from 14.30 hrs to 16.00 hrs.
In 2016, Thailand launched the first Public Procurement Act, which aims to improve transparency, efficiency and value for money in public procurement. One of the key features of the law is to promote alignment with international standards. The revised public procurement approach allows international firms to compete to deliver high value public procurement projects, aiming to ensuring high quality procurement outcomes for Thailand. Participants will hear directly from experts from the Comptroller General’s Department about the new public procurement procedures and their implications for your business.
